Estigma estructural en minorías sexuales: Análisis de concepto utilizando la metodología de Walker & Avant

Resumen


Introducción: La presencia de diversas conceptualizaciones del estigma impiden establecer relaciones entre este concepto y resultados en salud. Una estrategia útil desde enfermería para facilitar la comprensión de términos y sus atributos es el análisis de concepto.

Objetivo: Analizar el concepto de estigma estructural en minorías sexuales

Metodología: Se utilizó la metodología de ocho pasos propuesta por Walker & Avant.

Resultados: Se revisan definiciones de estigma, conceptos relacionados (estigma interpersonal y racismo estructural), atributos, casos, consecuencias del concepto y referentes empíricos.

Conclusiones: La conceptualización del estigma permite identificar oportunidades en materia de reducción de inequidades en salud en minorías sexuales.
